Tools for custom keyboards are as important as the ingredients in a recipe. They help you assemble, modify and maintain your keyboard, giving you full control over the end result. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a newbie just discovering this fascinating hobby, there's a wide range of tools that can simplify the process and take your keyboard to the next level.

Assembly and disassembly:

Keycap puller: This is an indispensable tool for removing and replacing keycaps (the keys) without damaging them or the switches underneath. There are different types of keycap pullers, including wire pullers and plastic pullers, to suit different preferences.
Switch puller: To replace or smash switches, you need a switch puller. It grips the switch and allows you to easily remove it from the PCB (Printed Circuit Board).
Screwdrivers: Different types of screwdrivers, such as Phillips and flathead, are used to assemble and disassemble the keyboard chassis and other components. Make sure to have the right size to avoid damaging the screws.

Soldering iron/lödfloor: If you want to build a keyboard from scratch or modify the PCB, you will need a soldering iron/lödfloor and soldering pin. However, this requires more advanced skills and care.

Maintenance and cleaning:

Brush: A soft brush is perfect for removing dust and dirt from the keyboard, both on the surface and between the keys.
